Bristol City Preview vs Norwich City (H)

Bristol City welcome not only high-flying Norwich City but also the Sky Sports cameras to Ashton Gate for a Saturday evening Championship clash in BS3.

City will come into the match off the back of Saturday’s 1-0 win away at Birmingham City with striker Famara Diedhiou heading home a 63rd minute winner. Daniel Farke’s Norwich City are unbeaten in eight Championship matches following their narrow 3-2 win over struggling Bolton Wanderers at Carrow Road.

The Robins will once again be huge outsiders for the match with Norwich sitting top of the Championship table but after Saturday’s 1-0 win any outcome is possible for Lee Johnson’s side.

Bristol City haven’t beaten the Canaries since 2009 and have lost four of the last six matches against their opponents for Saturday’s televised meeting.

Last season saw just one goal scored in the two games between the two clubs with the game at Carrow Road a 0-0 draw and Norwich running out 1-0 winners at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City forward Matty Taylor will once again be unavailable due to a ongoing hip injury as well as midfielders Korey Smith and Liam Walsh – who will both be sidelined after picking up knee injuries.

Defender Bailey Wright and goalkeeper Frank Fielding have both returned to training but are unlikely to feature on Saturday evening.

It will be a tough test for Lee Johnson’s Bristol City on Saturday, however it is a game that City are capable of winning. Norwich haven’t been at their best as of late after only beating a struggling Bolton side by an odd goal last weekend.

Predicted Line-up:

Maenpaa; Pisano; Webster, Kalas, Kelly; Brownhill, Pack; Eliasson, Paterson, Weimann; Diedhiou

Bristol City 2-1 Norwich City
