Friday 8th December, The Hawthorns. 8:00pm.
It is a West Midlands derby on Friday night as West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa go head-to-head.
The game has all the billing of being a potential goal fest with the leagues top goalscorers take on Villa who have scored 15 goals in their last four games.
Both teams do come into the game in good form with Villa unbeaten in five and Albion unbeaten in four.
Darren Moore’s side will be wondering how they didn’t come away from three points when they faced Brentford on Monday night. A dominant performance could’ve and perhaps should’ve seen Albion three up at half time. But with The Baggies conceding a late goal, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Friday night’s game will see a much bigger test for Albion.
Albion are still without defender Kyle Bartley. Hal Robson-Kanu is believed to be 50/50 for Friday’s derby.
Albert Adomah is expected to be fit for the game after missing the last two with injury.
Albion: Johnstone, Adarabioyo, Dawson, Hegazi, Gibbs; Livermore, Morrison, Phillips; Barnes, Gayle, Rodriguez.
Villa: Nyland; Hutton, Tuanazebe, Chester, Taylor; Hourihane,McGinn, Bolasie, Grealish, Kodja; Abraham.
With the form Villa are in, this will probably be Albion’s biggest test of the season. It’s a game which both team’s fans will be desperate to win. I expect a lot of goals with both sides firing this season. I’m going for a 2-2 draw on Friday night.
