Bournemouth Preview vs Man City (A)

The Cherries are traveling up north again this weekend after three defeats in the row, they now face the impossible task of taking on Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Last time out was an unfortunate defeat to Arsenal for the Cherries with Jefferson Lerma scoring quite an impressive own goal along the way. While Manchester City dispatched of West Ham United with a comfortable 4-0 win. Some of the football that the Citizens have played this season has been simply breathtaking. Players such as Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and David Silva have been nothing short of sensational and all in all, honestly there’s only going to be one outcome on Saturday.

The biggest plus for Man City this season is the fact that despite how good they were in their centurion season last year they have arguably improved this. Aymeric Laporte has been immense at the back, Bernardo Silva has come onto the scene after a respectable maiden season and Riyad Mahrez has offered even more dynamism on the right wing for City.

Opposition player to watch out for – Raheem Sterling

It’s hard to pick one player in such an incredible team. However, in this current moment it’s the Englishman that stands out. A November where Sterling amassed 3 goals along with 3 assists, the inform winger will be eyeing up Bournemouth as the perfect way to repeat these stats for December.

Team News

Manchester City – Kevin De Bruyne & Benjamin Mendy remains long term absentees and it’s also likely that Bernardo Silva will miss out.

Likely XI – Ederson; Kyle Walker, Aymeric Laporte, John Stones, Fabian Delph; Fernandinho, Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling

Bournemouth – Adam Smith remains on the sidelines until February while Jefferson Lerma will be suspended after accumulating 5 yellow Cards.

Likely XI – Asmir Begovic; Simon Francis, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake, Charlie Daniels; David Brooks, Dan Gosling, Lewis Cook, Ryan Fraser; Callum Wilson, Josh King

Score Prediction: Man City 4-0 Bournemouth

I can’t see anything but a comfortable Man City win. One of the best Premier League teams ever won’t have any issues in dispatching The Cherries on Saturday.
