Three points separate Leeds from Norwich at the top of table and a possible win against a travelling Reading side could see them go top.
Leeds were less than convincing last time out. Looking under some pressure from a struggling Bristol City side who have fallen off of late. It took a red card to the visitor for the home side to eventually get a grip of the game.
The magic spark of Samuel Saiz was missed but when he came on the Whites looked as if they could hurt Bristol every time they went forward.
Him and Pablo Hernandez linked up for the second time in two games as he produced a chipped ball into the the box for Pablo to loop his header into the far corner.
Saiz will be looking to start his first game since Ipswich in October. In recent games it has been apparent that there has been a lack of spark and quality in the final third.
Reading are this mid-week visitors currently sitting 20th in the Championship with one win in their last five. Struggling under Paul Clement the Royals didn’t add enough proven Championship players to their already weak squad in summer and now they are reaping this.
Reading play a 4-3-3 formation similar to that of Derby but things haven’t seemed to click yet. Yakou Meite has been on good form for the travelling side as of late scoring three in his last three.
The French-born Ivorian joined reading in 2016 where he was loaned out to Sochaux in France, but never managed to live up to the potential he once had at PSG, scoring only twice in 32 games.
Things have improved for him and is finally finding his feet in England already scoring seven this season.
The 4-3-3 System that they play allows the wingers like Aluko and Mccleary to bomb down the wing and cross into Méïté. Along with the attacking formation it will leave a lot of gaps in midfield for the movement of the Leeds side. Especially if the wingers don’t drop back to help out the defence Leeds could see themselves run riot.
Leeds United Predicted XI (4141):
Leeds 3-0 Reading
