Saturday see’s the inform R’s take on newly relegated Stoke at The BET365 Stadium. QPR will be looking to pick-up from where we left off with a win over Brentford. Whilst Stoke will be looking to capitalise on QPR’s form.
However, with a tricky start to life in the Championship for Stoke and new boss, Gary Rowett, the Potters will see Saturday’s fixture as a perfect opportunity to really kick start their season.
QPR are without Geoff Cameron for the trip due to the R’s playing Stoke, Cameron’s parent club. Luongo is also a doubt as he was on international duty for the Socceroos during mid-week where he scored the winner abasing South Korea.
Stoke: No news to report.
Head to head:
In the last four meetings overall, QPR have drawn one and lost three. QPR are without a win at Stoke since 2011 where we won 3-2. Since then, the only two meetings at the Bet365 Stadium have ended in losses.
With one loss in the last eight games, I am merely confident going into this clash as Stoke have only won once at home in their last eight games.
Now Stoke are starting to find their feet in the league, QPR should be looking to capitalise on their poor start and try to make it back to back wins to keep the momentum going…COYRS!
