Friday 23rd November, Portman Road. 7:45pm.
Darren Moore’s West Brom side know that a win for them against struggling Ipswich will propel them into 2nd place in the Championship.
Albion went into the latest international break with four games without a win before a convincing 4-1 victory over Leeds United.
Boss, Moore, switched his tactics to a four at the back which came with great reward.
Albion are expected to name an unchanged line-up as they head to Ipswich although assistant head coach, Graeme Jones has said that the challenge ahead of this weekend’s game is much different to the one of Leeds.
The Baggies had just 28% possession against United but will see much more of the ball against bottom of the table Ipswich on Friday.
The Tractor Boys have only won one game so far in the Championship.
Former Villa and Wolves manager, Paul Lambert has been appointed to try and steer them away from the relegation zone and has enjoyed two draws so far.
Chris Brunt and Gareth Barry are both fit and available for Albion. Darren Moore has confirmed that the only doubt for his side is Kyle Barltey who has missed the last two games.
Paul Lambert has said his side have ‘one or two bumps’ but apart from that he’ll have fully fit squad at his disposal.
Predicted line ups:
Albion: Johnstone, Adarabioyo, Hegazi, Dawson, Gibbs; Morrison, Livermore, Phillips, Barnes, Rodriguez, Robson-Kanu.
Ipswich: Bialkowski, Spence, Chambers, Pennigton, Knudsen; Chalobah, Skuse, Downes; Edwars, Sears, Roberts.
Despite Albion struggling on the road this season, I think they can go to Portman Road with confidence from the Leeds result and knowing they are better than the opposition.
An early goal is key but West Brom should be able to break down the Ipswich regard. 2-0 Baggies.
