QPR midfielder Ryan Manning has been called up to the provisional senior Republic of Ireland squad for the first time.
Manning, currently on loan at Rotherham United until the end of the 2018/19 season, has previously represented Ireland at youth level.
However, Republic boss Martin O’Neill has included the 22-year-old in his squad for their forthcoming matches against Northern Ireland and Denmark.
Eire host Northern Ireland in Dublin on Thursday, 15th November for a friendly before travelling to Denmark on Monday, 19th November for a UEFA Nations League match. The final squad will be confirmed on Monday, 12th November.
Also, Paul Smyth has received his second call-up to the Northern Ireland senior squad. The match against the Republic, on Thursday, 15th November in Dublin, will see Smyth potentially face Manning if Manning is part of the senior squad come 19th November.
