Lincoln City will be looking to write the history books once more as they look to advance in the FA Cup when they face Northampton Town.
The two clubs are sat in the same division, Sky Bet League Two, with them both having very different seasons. The Imps are sat top of the league and look to be marching to League One.
Northampton are not enjoying their return to League Two. Despite a revival in recent weeks under new manager Keith Curle, the Cobblers are sat in 16th place.
These two sides have also met once already this season. The fixture list gave Lincoln a tricky away day on the first weekend of the season as they traveled to Northampton.
A heroic performance from Imps keeper Josh Vickers coupled with a second half header from Matt Green, Lincoln were able to walk away with all three points.
Both managers will be looking to go further in the competition this time around with both exiting at the first opportunity.
The Imps fell to defeat away at AFC Wimbledon with prolific centre forward Lyle Taylor scoring the only goal of the game.
Fellow Lincolnshire side Scunthorpe United knocked out the Cobblers but it did take them two bites of the cherry.
A goaless draw at Northampton’s Sixfields Stadium was followed up by a 1-0 defeat at Glanford Park. Hakeeb Adelakun scored late in the second half to set up a tie with Doncaster Rovers.
