Lincoln City will be looking to get their first win in three as they host an in-form Forest Green Rovers side on Saturday.
The Imps have gone three without a win following back-to-back home draws with Cambridge United and Carlisle United. Lincoln followed these draws up with defeat at Colchester United last week in a tight and tense game.
Frankie Kent put the Essex side a goal up half way through the first half with the Imps unable to respond to it.
Despite a bad week, Danny Cowley’s side are still sat top of Sky Bet League Two but have had their gap closed to two points.
Forest Green come into the game on the back of an impressive win away at Exeter City. Mark Cooper’s men went ahead through Reece Brown just after the break and extended their lead with a strike from Liam Shephard with just under 20 minutes to play.
Aaron Martin scored a consolation for the Grecians in the 94th minute but even that could not take the shine off an impressive Rovers performance.
Rovers are sat in a lofty sixth position and have adapted well to their second ever season in the Football League.
These two sides last met just after Christmas of 2017 as Lincoln ran out 2-1 winners. Matt Rhead notched a brace with a Christian Doidge strike nestled in between.
Tempers flared towards the end of the game with a huge brawl occurring after the referee’s final whistle.
