Paul Lambert takes charge of his first game on Saturday with a visit from struggling Preston North End.
Lambert was announced as manager last Friday, after Paul Hurst was relieved of his duties just five months into his reign, winning just one game this season.
Lambert was a clear controversial choice for fans due to his past with both Colchester United and rivals Norwich City, taking Norwich from League One to the Premier League in just two seasons.
Clearly this isn’t a problem for the majority as many are already behind Paul Lambert as he looks to steer Town away from the relegation zone.
Ipswich currently sit bottom of the championship and three points behind Hull City and Reading, but a win on Saturday would fill the team with the momentum they’ve needed all season.
Preston are undefeated since late September when West Brom picked up a 3-2 win, since then they’ve collected 9 points meaning they sit in 20th, still not a great position but with a run of form that will have the team hungry to continue their unbeaten run.
