Stoke face the daunting task of traveling to Ashton Gate, to face Bristol City who are on a high after a late winner against Hull.
With the season about a third of the way through, Stoke fans must be wondering when they’ll finally turn up and hit a bit of form. A loss against Birmingham and a draw against Sheffield United, a game we deserved nothing from, we’re back to square one.
Rowett in particular must be worried about his future at the club, especially with the club sitting in 17th despite being pre season favourites to win the title. His signings that he was so keen to bring to the club have so far not been anywhere near the standard expected.
His two winger signings, Ince and McClean, continue to lack any sort of quality in the final third. Considering £18m was spent on them, it’s about time they started to offer a lot more for the club. Fans are now starting to get very frustrated having gone from the likes of Shaqiri and Arnautovic to these two.
I have very little faith that Stoke will do anything productive away from home anymore. With only two wins away in the last year it’s fair to see why, with constant lack of quality in performances away from The Bet365 stadium.
I think Bristol like Sheffield United will dominate us in this one, but this time we’ll pay the penalty.
