Up next for the Cherries is another trip to London, this time facing struggling Fulham. On Bournemouths last two trips to the capital they’ve been able to pick up a win against West Ham however did lose out to Chelsea at the start of September but will be looking for a repeat of the West Ham performance when they head to Craven Cottage this Saturday.
It was a disappointing result last time out for the Cherries with them only being able to pick up a point against local rivals, Southampton in what was a drab affair. They’ll be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Fulham on Saturday with the Cottagers possessing the worst defensive record in the league to date, conceding 25 goals in 9 games which at any level is appalling. This is down to the constant changing of the back four by manager Slavisa Jokanovic who has no idea what is his best defensive set up is with each defender being culpable for at least one goal so far this season. Bournemouths front four of David Brooks, Ryan Fraser, Josh King and Callum Wilson will be licking their lips at the thought of coming up against this frail Fulham defence on Saturday and will be expecting to net a few goals between them.
Opposition player to watch out for – Aleksandar Mitrovic
Although Fulham have been awful at the back, going forward they’ve looked pretty impressive and this is largely down to their talismanic Serbian who has carried his form from the Championship into the Premier league notching five goals so far. Bournemouths defenders will have to keep a close watch of the front man.
Fulham – Captain Tom Cairney returned to training this week but Saturday’s game may come too soon for him. Left back Joe Bryan also remains out.
Likely XI – Marcus Bettinelli; Cyrus Christie, Denis Odoi, Tim Ream, Maxime Le Marchand; Stefan Johansen, Kevin McDonald, Jean Micheal-Seri; Andre Schurrle, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ryan Sessegnon
Bournemouth – Likely to be unchanged for the fourth game in a row. No injury concerns either.
Likely XI – Asmir Begovic; Simon Francis, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake, Adam Smith; David Brooks, Jefferson Lerma, Lewis Cook, Ryan Fraser; Josh King, Callum Wilson
Score Prediction – Fulham 2-4 Bournemouth
A high scoring game in South West London, but I expect Bournemouth to come out on top and especially against the frail defence that Fulham possess.
