Ipswich Town left it late to claim their first win of the season against high-flying Swansea City.
The Tractor boys went into the game second from bottom, and if results went against them they’d spend another week occupying the bottom spot of the league.
The game started off very much in Swansea ‘s favour, scoring a goal with a deflection off Ipswich’s summer signing Janoi Donacien, but with two goals in four minutes the Blues went into half-time leading the Welsh side.
New City signing Bersant Celina, who spent last season on loan at Ipswich, scored a late goal in the game, leaving many to believe Town would continue to wait for their first win of the season. Trevoh Chalobah, on loan from Chelsea, put those fears to bed as he scored an 84th minute winner for Ipswich as the under-pressure boss Paul Hurst saw his team to act on their limited chances over the 90 minutes.
This month looked to be a worrying one for Town, with only two of the five games looking like they would be able to scrape a result, but with today being the first of the two difficult games, Ipswich looked to counter their fear in front of goal and bring home the three points.
Although they still remain in the relegation zone, Ipswich town, the players and their fans will all surely be ready to go after next weeks international break.
