Bristol City will be hoping to bounce back after Friday’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Aston Villa as they face Rotherham on Wednesday evening.
City come into the game off the back of back-to-back defeats and a draw on Friday, and are not in the best of form to say at the least.
Rotherham have the better record against The Robins, leading 22-19 but City haven’t been defeated by their Yorkshire opponents for three years.
City’s opponents for Wednesday’s game sit in 18th in the current Championship table and five points below Lee Johnson’s side, though, they will be no walk overs having not lost a home tie for over a month in all competitions.
Bristol City top scorer Andreas Weimann will be looking to return to form after failing to hit the back of the net for five games with his last coming in a 1-0 win in Wales against Swansea. Weimann failed to score a single goal in September after being a contender for August’s Player of the Month.
These are the sort of games City will need to win if they are going to gain a top 10 finish or possibly even sneak into a play-off spot.
