With almost a quarter of the league campaign gone already, Stoke will be hoping for a win at the Bet365 Stadium to help kick start their season.
After another disappointing effort against Rotherham, Rowett will surely be feeling the pressure now more than ever. Despite his constant bemoaning of poor defending from The Potters, not much seems to be changing. A sloppy pen followed simply abysmal set piece defending left us staring at another seemingly impossible task.
The only positives out of the Rotherham game that we can take is that we showed character and good attacking threat, something that hasn’t been a problem all season. With Berahino, Afobe and Bojan all on the field at the same time, we looked like scoring at every occasion. Which is why I can’t understand why they’re yet to start together as a front three.
Rowett knows this a must win game, so I’m hoping he gives a consistently poor Allen the chop and plays Bojan from the off. There’s no doubt we’ll have more of the ball than Bolton, so we’ll need a player like Bojan to unlock their stubborn defence.
As stated previously we’ll have most of the attacking play I assume, as Bolton are best at defending so that’s what they’ll do. It’s going to be tough to break them down, especially after there result at the weekend which showed how resolute they can be.
I think that Stoke will win a game of very few chances 1-0, with the inform Berahino grabbing another goal in front of the home crowd.
