QPR Preview vs Reading

QPR are back on the road Tuesday to face Reading. A reaction is needed from both McLaren and the players, with an abysmal result at Swansea some changes could come and hopefully a change in formation!

McLaren is solely to blame for the last three defeats as he has changed a winning formula. Eze and Freeman are not wingers, Bidwell is poor and our two big money strikers have only scored one goal between them since arriving.

With this in mind, we usually play quite well at Reading and hopefully end our winless streak. Reading have only won two games in there last five and have picked up two less points than the R’s.

Team news:

Furlong (knee) is unavailble as of Toni Leistner  (groin) is a doubt after missing the class against the Swans.

As for Reading, Callum Harriott (hamstring) is a doubt and Obita is out for a long spell on the sidelines as he has had recent surgery. Veteran centre back John O’Shea is suspended for this fixture.

Head to head:

Reading have only beaten Rangers once in the last five meetings, they won the most recent fixture 1-0 when we traveled to the Madejski Stadium. QPR’s last win away at the Royals was 2017 when Jaime Mackie broke the deadlock.

QPR have a lot of work to do in order to stabilise our status in this league. I am optimistic about our chances on Tuesday as we usually do alright against Reading…. COYRS!
