As you probably all know, QPR suffered a third straight defeat in all competitions at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Barker-Richardson, Connor Roberts and Jay Fulton handed the Swans all three points as Rangers returned to West London empty-handed yet again.
McLaren spoke to the press yesterday about the defeat and said;
“I think we had opportunities before them we just weren’t clinical enough,”.
“We had opportunities to break but we kept giving the ball away. The final ball wasn’t right and we were always half a yard short on a pass or giving the ball away on the transition when we could have scored. We’re very disappointed at that.
“Swansea scored, we stayed in the game for a long time but in the second half we had two or three very good opportunities but we didn’t get it.
“We are getting punished for mistakes and games are won by sticking the ball in the back of the net and we didn’t do that.”
McClaren also confirmed that captain Toni Leistner missed the match with a slight groin problem whilst midfielder Josh Scowen also didn’t travel with his partner set to give birth imminently.
