Fans around the country have seemed lost for the past week or so, the international break always seems to last an eternity but this week league football is back and with that a return to action for league leaders Leeds United. Two players who have particularly Impressed over the break whom Leeds fans will hope to continue their momentum going into the clash at the Den are Alioski and Klich. Alioski has scored two goals in two games and Klich has scored one and also played an important role in another goal. Leeds will travel away to Millwall in a game which always seems to end in controversy. In the past few years, The Den has been a fortress and rarely does a team leave the ground not knowing they’ve been in a dogfight.
Leeds will be looking to carry their outstanding form on into this clash, even if the injury of Bamford has provided a major setback. The Whites forward joined on permanent from Middlesborough for £7 million in the summer and scored one and assisted one in all competitions this season. Behind Roofe in the pecking order Bamford has had next to nothing game time, so during the break he had a chance to get a full 90 under his belt in a u23’s game against Bristol City but his night was cut short after sustaining an injury to his knee which has subsequently ruled him out for 3-4 months. One’s loss is another’s gain as many fans believe Roberts or Edmondson will step up and be apart of the squad.
Neil Harris and Millwall have said that Leeds is their cup final game of the season. The rivalry always brings out the best in Millwall, looking to disrupt the rhythm of the game by any means necessary. This is the only was Millwall will be able to deal with Bielsaball as if they are able to press high up on Leeds and force them to make mistakes then chances will come, not particularly known for the high footballing class the home team will be another team similar to Middlesbrough and Rotherham and will aim to set up deep defensive line making it hard for Leeds to penetrate. Millwall’S key man for the game will be former Leeds striker Steve Morison who has recently said in on Saturday he will be pulling on his “Zlatan Morison” shirt. The idea will be that the test of the team will play the high ball to the target man whose height may cause significant problems for the Leeds Defense.
