This coming Sunday will see Rovers head to Ashton Gate to take on Lee Johnson’s Bristol City. Five games in and still unbeaten, Tony Mowbray’s men should be going into this brimming with confidence, away to a side who are yet to win in front of a home crowd.
It will also be interesting to see if any of our recent endeavours in the market will be taking part, with many fans hopeful of a debut from Ben Brereton.
It is understood that Dominic Samuel and Derrick William’s are both set for long absences, though Adam Armstrong is also expected to be out. Bradley Dack should be back from injury though after several matches sat on the sidelines.
Personally, I would like to see new loanee Harrison Reed play a part of he is deemed fit enough, as Richie Smallwood’s start to the campaign has not quite been at the standards he set for himself last season.
However, another new signing in Joe Rothwell has been putting in some great performances to add even more competition in the middle of the park.
Predicted starting XI:
Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell
Bennett Dack Palmer
With Ben Brereton only signing this past Tuesday, I would think Mowbray will be a little cautious in playing him but if he performs in training, there’s every chance he could start over Graham.
